Metal Quote terms of use
The app does the arithmetic. You set the price.

These terms apply when you use the Metal Quote Android app. They are short and in plain language. Google Play's own terms also apply to downloading the app and to buying the Full version.
Who we are
Metal Quote is made by Impossible Labs, Amsterdam, the Netherlands (KVK 95962921). In these terms, "we" means Impossible Labs and "you" means the person using the app.
What Metal Quote does
Metal Quote calculates weights, material costs and selling prices from the sizes, prices, profit and taxes you type in. Weights are nominal: they come from the standard size of a section and the density of the metal, the same way supplier tables are made. Tubes use the corner sizes from EN 10219 and EN 10210 unless you choose otherwise. Real stock varies within the tolerances the mill works to.
What it does not do
- It does not do structural or engineering calculations. It says nothing about the strength, load capacity or fitness of a part or a design.
- It does not give tax, accounting or legal advice. You choose the taxes and their rates; whether they are right for you and your customer is for you to decide.
Check before you send
You are responsible for the prices, taxes and quotes you give your customers. Check every quote before you send it, as you would a quote you wrote by hand.
Free and Full version
The Free version can be used without a time limit. The Full version is a one-time purchase through Google Play, not a subscription. It is tied to the Google account you buy it with and unlocks again on other phones that use that account. Payment and refunds are handled by Google Play under its own terms and refund policy. If something is wrong with your purchase, contact us as well and we will help where we can.
Your data
Your quotes and settings are stored only on your phone; see the privacy policy. We have no copy, so we cannot recover data you lose. Keep the Android backup box ticked, or save backup files with the Full version.
Liability
We build and test Metal Quote with care, but we cannot promise it is free of errors. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect loss from using the app, such as lost profit or a job quoted too low, and our total liability is limited to what you paid for the Full version. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be set aside by agreement.
Changes
We may update the app and these terms. If the terms change, we will update this page and its effective date before the change applies.
Law
Dutch law applies to these terms. Disputes go to the competent court in Amsterdam, unless the law gives you the right to go to a court where you live.
